The person who packaged bacula that you installed has total control of everything: where the files go, which database is used, and everything else. These things can vary greatly from one distro to another because different people package bacula for each distro. It's not controlled by bacula or its developers. Often, there are readme docs with the package to get you started. However, if you want complete control over bacula, you can d/l the bacula source files and compile it yourself from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/bacula/files/bacula/ 5.2.12 works very well for me. From a couple of things I've seen, 5.2.13 might have issues or require changes - but this might be a misunderstanding on my part, since I have not attempted to use it.
