Hi Simone, after updating my backup server running CentOS 6 to the new release 5.2.12-4.el6 of your Bacula build published yesterday on http://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/slaanesh/bacula/epel-6/x86_64/, I see two problems with the storage daemon's startup script /etc/rc.d/init.d/bacula-sd:
1. The SD did not come up after the upgrade. "service bacula-sd status" reported "dead, but lockfile exists". You fixed this once already but now it seems to be back. 2. Manually starting the SD with "service bacula-sd start" succeeded but displayed an error message: backup~> sudo /sbin/service bacula-sd start starting bacula-sd: [ OK ] touch: missing file operand Try `touch --help' for more information. This seems to be caused by line 47 of the script which says: [ $retval -eq 0 ] && touch $lockfile but the variable $lockfile isn't defined anywhere. Nothing urgent as Bacula works fine anyway, but worth fixing as your time permits. Thanks, Tilman -- Tilman Schmidt Phoenix Software GmbH Bonn, Germany
