I've tried to back up an NTFS partition on a RAID array on windows server 2008. I used "windows server backup" which is the native backup solution and areca backup.
Both stopped backing up when they encountered temporary read errors which might have been reported by the hardware RAID controller. When I opened the file which reported the read errors, they were fine. I asked in freenode #amanda, and someone told me that amanda would ignore read errors and keep backing up if amanda used GNUTAR. But setting up amanda on windows server 2008 seemed like a difficult task. Can I configure bacula to ignore read errors and keep backing up? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
