Hello, that ticket was relevant to version 5.0.3 that at the time was in Fedora 14. The change was made in Fedora 17 as the policy disallow functional changes in the middle of a release.
Fedora 17+, rawhide and backported rawhide packages already use systemd where supported: http://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/slaanesh/bacula/ Regarding the systemd support itself, the Bacula source code already contains systemd scripts with the configure parameter "--with-systemd[=UNITDIR]". Fedora's systemd scripts are quite different from the bundled ones as they follow more strictly systemd's features, like no-forking daemons and systemd special targets (nss-lookup.target, etc.); so you might want to have a look at .service files: http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/gitweb/?p=bacula.git;a=tree Regards, --Simone On 11 July 2012 22:23, Gour <g...@atmarama.net> wrote: > Hello! > > I saw one bug ticket in Fedora > (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=657216) for adding systemd > script for Bacula. > > Considering that at the moment I use Archlinux distro (init scripts) and > plan to move to systemd-based distro soon, I wonder if there is any > plan to include systemd scripts in the official Bacula relase? > > > Sincerely, > Gour > > -- > Thus the wise living entity's pure consciousness becomes covered by > his eternal enemy in the form of lust, which is never satisfied and > which burns like fire. > > http://atmarama.net | Hlapicina (Croatia) | GPG: 52B5C810 > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Live Security Virtual Conference > Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and > threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
