Some more notes. I have removed all volumes (tapes) from the library and run update slots. After this the output of status slots was correct (no volumes available). After adding the first tape and run update slots, then the second tape with update slots, the status was still okay. Then bulk adding of the remaining tapes and update slots the status slots command is wrong again.
BAT displays the status correctly (Storage -> TL4000-Storage). For me it seems like a bug in bconsole status slots command -> bug 0001902 [1].
