I have a laptop running Win XP Professional, after a normal startup or a reboot the Bacula client is started and runs under the SYSTEM user.
If I check the status of the Win client from bconsole on the Linux server I get: 16-May 23:34 claudius-dir JobId 0: Fatal error: Unable to authenticate with File daemon at "192.168.100.4:9102". Possible causes: Passwords or names not the same or Maximum Concurrent Jobs exceeded on the FD or FD networking messed up (restart daemon). Please see http://www.bacula.org/en/rel-manual/Bacula_Freque_Asked_Questi.html#SECTION003760000000000000000 for help. I restart the client under SYSTEM there is no change, but if I restart the client under my user (an administrator) the status check works and backups run ok. No config files files are changed and I have carefully checked that duplicate config files do not exist for running under the 2 different users I have checked various Win sites without success, does anyone have any ideas? At the moment I just have to remember to restart the client after any reboot, but it's a major improvement over the previous Win XP Home edition where I never succeeded in getting backups to work.
