Bonjour Nicolas,
I tried it and gave up -- there some posts about the subject --
restoring a backup can be quite difficult.
I looked at deduplicating file systems (there are several choices) as
places to store bacula backups, but alas, bacula places data on the disk
in an un-aligned stream, therefore, de-duping is worthless.
I ended up turning on compression for the clients and buying large
capacity external disks.
I have suggested to alter the stream to be aligned, so maybe at some
point we'll see it in a future release -- it's a shame as I have many
identical clients to backup.
Cheers
M
