-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 i am getting this error on one of my remote clients, work1-fd. what is confusing to me is that i have another system, work2-fd, on the same network, behind the same router, running the same OS and bacula version (ubuntu 10.04, 5.0.1) which doesn't have any problem backing up.
i read that it could be timing out due to an accurate query on the catalog taking too long, but what is the cause of this? work1-fd actually has less files to backup than work2-fd so shouldn't that query take even less? on work1-fd it seems a lot of time passes after the backup is already finished before the error shows up: 26-Jul 16:47 home1-sd JobId 47: Job write elapsed time = 06:39:54, Transfer rate = 112.4 K Bytes/second 26-Jul 17:21 home1-dir JobId 47: Fatal error: Network error with FD during Backup: ERR=Connection reset by peer but on work2-fd barely any time passes after the same log entries: 26-Jul 08:03 home1-sd JobId 42: Job write elapsed time = 03:09:17, Transfer rate = 111.8 K Bytes/second 26-Jul 08:03 home1-dir JobId 42: Bacula cave-dir 5.0.1 (24Feb10): 26-Jul-2011 08:03:37 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iEYEAREIAAYFAk4vbXMACgkQXhfCJNu98qDjGwCg8VOqwl7i88Oet5uiuyPZCx/b P48An2WlqracFTeuFjZpoA7DYxQgYlOs =ibtk -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Got Input?
