Open a terminal and type the following command as root (or su or sudo):
jmd0 # bacula-dir -t -c /etc/bacula/bacula-dir.conf
jmd0 #
Then enter a bacula console
jmd0 # bconsole
and
update
select 2: Pool from resource
then select your pool (Backup) and enter.
Here is an example from my home bacula install:
