I'm using Bacula 2.4.4 (Director and File Daemons all Debian Lenny) and trying to run a job of type "Admin" with "Client Run Before Job" (or equivalent "RunScript {}").
The job completes with errors no, but no "Command" gets executed: 16-Jun 08:25 megrez-dir JobId 14774: Start Admin JobId 14774, Job=TALITHA2-SEMELrdiffbackup-job.2010-06-16_08.25.42.04 16-Jun 08:25 megrez-dir JobId 14774: Bacula 2.4.4 (28Dec08): 16-Jun-2010 08:25 JobId: 14774 Job: TALITHA2-SEMELrdiffbackup-job.2010-06-16_08.25.42.04 Start time: 16-Jun-2010 08:25 End time: 16-Jun-2010 08:25 Termination: Admin OK 16-Jun 08:25 megrez-dir JobId 14774: Begin pruning Jobs. 16-Jun 08:25 megrez-dir JobId 14774: No Jobs found to prune. 16-Jun 08:25 megrez-dir JobId 14774: Begin pruning Files. 16-Jun 08:25 megrez-dir JobId 14774: No Files found to prune. 16-Jun 08:25 megrez-dir JobId 14774: End auto prune. This is the relevant config from bacula-dir.conf: Schedule { Name = "SEMELrdiffbackup" Run = Level=Full sun-sat at 23:02 } Fileset { Name = "Null" Include { File = /tmp } Exclude { File = /tmp } } JobDefs { Name = "SEMELrdiffbackup" Type = Admin Priority = 19 Rerun Failed Levels = no Reschedule On error = no FileSet = "Null" Schedule = "SEMELrdiffbackup" Storage = File Messages = Standard Pool = Server-Full RunScript { RunsOnClient = Yes RunsWhen = Before FailJobOnError = Yes Command = "echo test" } } Job { Name = "TALITHA2-SEMELrdiffbackup-job" Client = TALITHA2 JobDefs = "SEMELrdiffbackup" } Client { Name = "TALITHA2" Address = xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx FDPort = 9102 Catalog = MyCatalog Password = xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx File Retention = 60 days Job Retention = 60 days AutoPrune = yes } Note. All goes well if I change "RunsOnClient" from "Yes" to "No" (but, of course, this is not what I want...)
