Ok, I'm on 5.0.1, and am doing a differential backup w/ LTO4 drives
which takes a good 1-2 days. Backups proceed fine until I hit a tape
with an I/O error on it (bad media).
so like this:

Tape #65 DD0015 is the one that got the error and as can be seen zero
files (5GB is the file size) were written as the error happened real
early on the tape. Since a complete file was not written, could I
replace the tape with a new one, do a relabel and mark the volume as
recycle and continue on?
I can understand having to for the normal purge time if a full file was
actually written but am not sure about partials like this.
(also, yes, I know that I should be getting 800000000000B/tape this is
all on Fuji media which these last batches at least have really sucked.
Anyone know of a better brand?)
Steve
