Did you read the changelog and readme before. Have you notice the necessary uninstall any previous version line ? Did you did this ? When you say "I'm running as administror" did you state the bacula-fd is running with the administrator account or just your session ? Thanks for the reply Bruno... To answer your questions for clarity I'm running on an account that's part of the administrators group. And I did come across the uninstall previous line in the readme. So this attempt was on a fresh install. The problem with Bacula-fd not wanting to start ended up not being a permissions problem but instead is a problem with the installer adding incorrect monitor information. If you comment out that section again the file director service will run properly. __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4815 (20100128) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Planet: dedicated and managed hosting, cloud storage, colocation Stay online with enterprise data centers and the best network in the business Choose flexible plans and management services without long-term contracts Personal 24x7 support from experience hosting pros just a phone call away. http://p.sf.net/sfu/theplanet-com _______________________________________________ Bacula-users mailing list Bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bacula-users
