Sorry for replying so late..... Actully the problem was "recycle pool" was getting changed when purging manually. Below is th output for same. My all clients are configured to write in Pool_8 and this volume before purging belongs to same Pool. But after purging this volume is not under this Pool and hence its not getting written.
It purges (deletes) all Files from a Job, JobId, Client or Volume; or it purges (deletes) all Jobs from a Client or Volume without regard for retention periods. Normally you should use the PRUNE command, which respects retention periods. 22 Files on Volume "Vol0018" purged from catalog. There are no more Jobs associated with Volume "Vol0018". Marking it purged. *New Pool is: Default* I have manually editted it to move under correct Pool but i was failed to understand the cause of Pool change.
