Since your email is huge I am not going to answer inline or quote large sections. The problem you are having is caused by not having any volumes labeled. To fix this you will most likely want to enable automatic volume labeling.
http://www.bacula.org/en/dev-manual/Basic_Volume_Management.html#SECTION001212000000000000000 After fixing this you have a second problem with your configuration. You have not limited the size (or use duration) of the disk volume. If you do not do this bacula will keep appending to your single volume until your hard drive runs out of space at that point the current job will stick waiting for you to somehow add more space. On top of this issue this will prevent prevent recycling to work at all since retention periods only start when a volume is marked Full or Used. To fix this problem enable one or more of the following in your pool definition: Use Volume Once = yes Volume Use Duration = ttt Maximum Volume Jobs = nnn Maximum Volume Bytes = mmm http://www.bacula.org/en/rel-manual/Automatic_Volume_Recycling.html John ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
