Hello bacula-users,
I'm working on a setup of a Dell Server (PowerEdge R710) with a nice SAS-controller hooked up to a PowerVault 124T LTO4 (SAS-interface). I though have problems using mtx to access the autochanger (more to that later). This is what dmesg contains after booting (module loaded phase): --- cut --- [ 23.435737] scsi1 : ioc0: LSISAS1068 B0, FwRev=000a3300h, Ports=1, MaxQ=366, IRQ=1272 [ 23.467843] scsi 1:0:0:0: Sequential-Access QUANTUM ULTRIUM 4 2170 PQ: 0 ANSI: 5 [ 23.493664] scsi 1:0:0:1: Medium Changer DELL PV-124T 0063 PQ: 0 ANSI: 2 --- cut --- Here are the devices listed (lsscsi): --- cut --- [1:0:0:0] tape QUANTUM ULTRIUM 4 2170 /dev/st0 [1:0:0:1] mediumx DELL PV-124T 0063 /dev/sch0 --- cut --- Now to the problem itself. The autochanger doesn't seem to be suppored by mtx which is the base of bacula's mtx-changer right? --- cut --- mtx -f /dev/sch0 /dev/sch0 is not an sg device, or old sg driver --- cut --- - Anyone here having an 147T with LTO4 and SAS running? - Did I do anything wrong? - Is such new SAS controller stuff just not supported? -- Christian Rohmann Content Delivery Server u.
