I guess those are two different discussions :-) While Bat can probably be compiled for windows - and, as far as I know, this is being worked on - the developers will surely be glad about any help with a windows port. Bat on windows needs a lot of work before being stable (that's what I understand from the -devel list). Running Bat on a unix/linux machine and presenting the application on a windows desktop X11 display is possible today, without any additional instability. Actually, it's what I recommend to my customers :-) Arno > -- Arno Lehmann IT-Service Lehmann Sandstr. 6, 49080 Osnabrück www.its-lehmann.de ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Open Source Business Conference (OSBC), March 24-25, 2009, San Francisco, CA -OSBC tackles the biggest issue in open source: Open Sourcing the Enterprise -Strategies to boost innovation and cut costs with open source participation -Receive a $600 discount off the registration fee with the source code: SFAD http://p.sf.net/sfu/XcvMzF8H _______________________________________________ Bacula-users mailing list Bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bacula-users
