I've found that I can't ever label tape. But there is more, I can't tar to tape, it outputs I/O error. lsscsi output is: [0:0:0:0] disk ServeRA raid 1 V1.0 /dev/sda [0:1:0:0] disk IBM-ESXS VPA146C3-ETS10 N A650 - [0:1:1:0] disk IBM-ESXS ST3146855SS BA26 - [0:3:0:0] enclosu IBM-ESXS VSC7160 1.06 - [0:3:1:0] tape IBM HH LTO Gen 3 76B0 /dev/st0 Now, I doing : mt -f /dev/nst0 erase But I issue this command at 8:07 AM GMT, and now is 9:44 AM GMT, is it common that it takes too much time?
