I'm troubleshooting my backup strategy again. For some reason, today all my jobs ran a full backup instead of the scheduled incremental. The messages say "Backup Level: Full (upgraded from Incremental)". In this particular example below, the most recent full backup happened on 11/30, with a few successful incremental backups in between.
How can I tell what criterion bacula used to upgrade these jobs? I would attach part of a bacula-dir.conf file as well, but I don't even know which resource to look for. Build OS: x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu suse 5.x JobId: 775 Job: xxxx.2008-12-04_23.05.04 Backup Level: Full (upgraded from Incremental) Client: "xxxx-fd" 2.4.2 (26Jul08) i686-pc-linux-gnu,suse,5.x FileSet: "Full Set" 2008-12-04 23:05:05 Pool: "Full-1-Pool" (From Run FullPool override) Storage: "Disk3" (From Pool resource) One change I made yesterday: I excluded two additional directories in the Fileset for all my Linux clients, and then restarted bacula-dir. I can't see how that would make bacula think that a full backup is needed, though. Thanks! -- Kevin Keane Owner The NetTech Turn your NetWORRY into a NetWORK!
