Hi! (Excuse me for previous post - I thought I was subscribed 'cause I read the list via Gmane...)
I used Bacula to archive some old Hi8 video files to LTO-2 tapes (HP Ultrium 448 drive) and used sqlite as database back-end. However, now I plan to use Postgres for some other stuff and decided to deploy it for Bacula as well. Old Sqlite conf files are gone and I had to extract files from the tapes via bextract in order to make a new backup with Postgres back-end. The problem is that I cannot restore the last file from the archive...at first I thought the problem is that my external USB HD was out of space, but then I run 'bls' to calculate how big are all the files, freed enough space on HD and Bacula's bextract failed again with: [...] 28-Oct 10:18 bextract JobId 0: End of file 50 on device "LTO-2" (/dev/nst0), Volume "c-movies" 28-Oct 10:18 bextract JobId 0: Error: attribs.c:421 File size of restored file /media/usbdisk/bacula-restore/media/backup/capture/6/Kuruksetra-Jadurani-LP-Hi8-part-1.dv not correct. Some googling has brought me to this bug issue: http://bugs.bacula.org/bug_view_advanced_page.php?bug_id=1154 where Kern said: "No, the ultimate source is the Volume. The catalog is used to allow the user to browse and select files." and in this case, it looks that restore does not do according to the volume's (bls) output. Any idea? It happens with bacula-2.4.3... I might try to install 2.5beta being interested in Copy Jobs feature to allow me to simply copy video archive from one set of tapes to the other to make a 'spare set'.
