The reason why I asked this is that while sending the attributes to the database (this does not involve the file daemon) there will be a very long delay before the job is finished. During this delay if the socket is disconnected I believe you will get this error. I could be wrong however, I am not sure if the exit status of the file daemon is gathered after the data transfer is complete or after the attributes are in the database.
