telnet to ipaddress port of the storage port=9103 If you get connection refused then there is a network problem or the storage is not started. If not then you can connect. Also depending on your configuration it may be a dns problem. Are you using the external ipaddress of the storage in Address= part of bacula-dir.conf for the storage resource or is this a FQDN (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FQDN)? If it is a FQDN can the client resolve this?
