I'm having the same issue and I'm using the 2.2.6 packets from
backports.org on debian etch:

Version: 2.2.6-0.1~bpo40+1

I'm somewhat lost since I've updated to 2.2.6 recently (started out with
a fresh database and imported old configuration from 1.38.x) and didn't
seem to have hit any problems so far.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / with kind regards
