Something to think about before patronizing Apple next time. :) Pkgsrc has been out there for a decade as the portable package management system -- it runs a dozen platforms (CPU/Arch/Vendor) combinations. It makes esoteric deprecated POSIX systems functional. If Apple keeps-on like they are(*), they'll be in that list eventually. When Fink and Darwinports and OS/X have shuffled off, Pkgsrc will still be around breathing life into IRIX, AIX, H-FUX and SunOS boxes. ~BAS (*).
