Whew, but that is the official recommendation for FreeBSD from the Bacula Users Guide: Hardware End of Medium = no BSF at EOM = yes Backward Space Record = no Backward Space File = no Fast Forward Space File = no TWO EOF = yes Besides that, I am very sure that this is NOT a problem of tape configuration. It is a problem of wrong data getting inserted into the catalog. As soon as I correct the catalog data, it DOES skip over the other jobs just fine, no matter the tape configuration. And, I have just noticed, that if I would write the backup directly to tape, then the catalog entries are created correct! Only as I write all backups to disk storage, and then migrate the jobs from disk storage to tape storage, this does happen. It seems to be simply a bug in the migration handling code. rgds, PMc ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
