Hi i Have also tried to capture the value of $pkg from configure file its
showing 1 , $pkg=$?
where from its picking '1'.
how its testing for Qt4 on system.
Please suggest

Even in my case when i use depkgs-qt and after untar when i run make qt4. it
configures and build, shows messages like qt4 build done. and after that when i
source . ./qt4-paths it creates some env variables like following ,
[EMAIL PROTECTED] bacula-2.2.8]# env | grep qt4
QTDIR=/root/depkgs-qt/qt4
QTINC=/root/depkgs-qt/qt4/include
PATH=/root/depkgs-qt/qt4/bin:/usr/kerberos/sbin:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/root/bin
QTLIB=/root/depkgs-qt/qt4/lib
PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/root/depkgs-qt/qt4/lib/pkgconfig
but when i run CFLAGS.................., it shows following error
checking for msgfmt... (cached) /usr/bin/msgfmt
configure: error:
Unable to find Qt4 installation needed by bat.
I have checked config.log file but its also not giving any useful info.
I understand that qt4 should be there on system before building bacula. But how
bacula checks for availability of Qt4?.
Even the environment variable are defining the right location for Qt4.
Please somebody suggest.

you how it arrived at
