Yes, I know both about the -v and the -dxx flags, but I can't see any
configuration parameter on the fd to tell it where to log (while there is for
the director instead).
Will I receive debug on the stdout or stderr?

I'm pretty sure there's a -v flag for verbose. Try bacula-fd -h to
see the various command line options.
