Yes thanks I didn't word the question properly. I know what the issue
is and how to solve it, but I would like to know in the morning, by
email, when something like this (or similar) has happened, without
trawling through the logs or through the job emails. If it isn't
something that can be separated out, then I will write a script to pull
the information I want out of the logs.

thanks, Phil

I believe this is not a tape error and really a catalog error. What
this says is that there are 84 files on the tape but bacula only
recorded that there were 83. I have seen this happen when a client
crashes during a backup. The tape was ok but bacula thought it was
bad. There are ways to update the catalog to regain use of the tape.
