Then I stand corrected.
I am definitely not a mysql guru, so I will leave the matter to the 
other posters.

I *really* think you should stop, take a deep breath and try to read 
through the installation chapter in the manual before continuing. I 
don't mean to be rude, but configuring the database is by no means the 
most difficult task in setting up bacula -- if you feel the 
documentation is too technical or complex for you, perhaps you should 
look into other solutions.

It depends on how you installed bacula. I compile from source, so I 
don't know where the Ubuntu package puts the DB scripts.
