Hi, I am working with Bacula 2.2.5 on Debian Etch.
At the moment I test the "Worst Case": I archive all data (Full Backup) to an usb-disk every month. If I want to make a restore from this archive, I use the bacula utility bextract. This is working fine But now I want to encrypt the usb-disk. The documentation tells me that bextract does not restore encrypted files. Counts this statement only to the bacula encryption? I made a test with the filesystem-encryption dm-crypt. The Backup works fine. And if I make a restore with bconsole the files seams to be ok, too. If I restore the files via bextract the structure is correct but all files are empty (0KB). I get the following error during restore: bextract error: Unknown stream 15 ignored. This schould't happen! Is this the result of the statement from the documentation? Is there another possibility of restoring files with bextract from an encrypted harddisk? How do you restore files if no more database entries are available or no bacula-server is running? Thanks for your help Daniel -- Psssst! Schon vom neuen GMX MultiMessenger gehört?
