Hi all, A week ago I restored some files from a tape marked as full & recyclable. This morning during a normal backup run I expected this tape to be recycled and purged like all the tapes previous to it have. However this did not happen, instead another tape was purged and recycled.
After looking at my volume list I can see that the LastWritten value on the tape has been updated with the date/time of when I ran the restore job. Nothing in my logs suggests any more data has been written to the tape. Is this expected behaviour? Is there a way of preventing this from happening again on future restore jobs?
