Hi, does anyone on this list have experience with Bacula and the autoloader Tandberg 1U StorageLoader LTO-3 (using: Ultrium 3 LTO 3 400 GB), link: http://www.tandbergdata.com/en/products/search-result/?action=2&ref=169
Its compatibily list does not show Bacula. The currently productive backup software (Sesam) is hosted on a Sun Fire X2100 M2 with Fedora Core 7 (2.6.22.1-33.fc7). In general I prefer Free Software where-ever reasonable. Unfortunately, due to a sudden death of our previous backup solution some months ago, we were forced to immediately switch to the system mentioned above, that has been recommended by our IT service partner. Thus I had no time for my own research and evaluation of Free Software alternatives for this emergency replacement. Now I would like to give Bacula a chance. Best regards, Anastasios
