I am putting together a backup/recovery plan for a new network we are building. We have a mixed environment of Windows servers/XP, OpenBSD 4.1 servers, and iMacs. If possible, I would like to run Bacula from one of the OpenBSD 4.1 servers. I saw that Bacula works on FreeBsd. Will it work on OpenBSD 4.1?
Secondarily, does it handle the metadata on macs well? I am currently planning on using SuperDuper! for them. I am hoping to use Bacula for the OpenBSD and Windows XP machines. Looking at Microsoft's DPM for the Windows servers, particularly the Exchange server. Comments welcomed.
