Hi Thomas + Rich, Thomas - Thanks for the pointer to the firewall section of the manual. I'd missed that. Port forwarding would work but only if I had a static external ip address for (or ddns enabled on) my router.
Rich - You are quite right! It probably isn't sane to have servers with wandering ip addresses ;-) I guess I'll have to go the whole hog and get a fixed ip address.... Doh!
