I don't see an error in the output that you have supplied.

Also, are you sure /dev/sg3 is correct for accessing the tape drive? I 
have never seen it accessed using the SCSI generic device before - 
/dev/st0 and /dev/nst0 (for the non-rewinding tape drive) are what I 
would expect.
