No, the only way to shrink a volume is to recycle it, which happens 
when *all* of the data in it is purged.

This is the reason why you usually want to limit the volume size in 
some way - either by setting maximum size directly, or by limiting the 
use duration, the number of jobs in it, or manually.

I recommend you update your only volume to status "Used" now, set up 
the pool to limit the volume size, update the existing volume to 
reflect the new default settings, and start with a number of 
pre-created volumes or allow automatic volume creation by Bacula.

If you need to remove the existing volume you will either lose all the 
existing backups in it, or you have to migrate the contents to another 
pool.
