Hi there,

Yes, it seems to Work out of the box. I have one myself.
Just didn't submitted a compatibility report so that it could be included in
the supported list because my tests weren't that exaustive.

My server just got back up after a couple of months of inactivity so I'll be
configuring it slowly in the next few day's.
I already have the postgresql database and the bacula engines running on file
devices so next will be hooking up some clients and then the autoloader.

I did I this way:

1 - find the proper devices, the changer and the tape one
2 - get the mtx tools working with the changer and tar with the tape
3 - get the mtx-changer script working (I can't recall if I had to change it
last time)

Wich is basically what Chris told you :)
If you get in trouble email me and the list and we can exchange some config's.

Best regards,

João Carneiro

It will probably just work.

First of all try using mtx to control the changer.

Then try using it is a normal tape drive (e.g tar cvzf /dev/nst0 /)

Then try using bacula to treat it as a normal tape, manually use mtx to
change tapes when needed. (test with btape's fill - see the manual).

Next configure bacula to use it as an autochanger, possibly modifying
mtx-changer.
