Can someone give me a hint what is wrong here?

gcc version is 2.95.2.1
I have configured with './configure --enable-client-only 
--disable-conio'  and put out '.PATH:    .' in the Makefile otherwise I 
get 'Target ".PATH" is up to date.' (same with version 1.38 or 2.0.3 but 
there compiling was possible).
