Subject: [Bacula-users] backup fail with "Fatal error: backup.c:873
Network send error to SD. ERR=Broken pipe"

hi all,

i have recently installed bacula 2.0.3 on mandriva(2.6 kernel) , and
using HP Ultrium 460 LTO2 drive. Whenever i try to take full backup of
a client(2.0.3) of 300GB of data it fails withing 20 minutes. I tried
to set heardbeat interval and all as mentioned by various users but of
no help. Client and server are on local network of different subnet.
Anyone faced similar problem ?

following is message

17-Jul 19:44 backup-dir: Recycled current volume "server-b"
17-Jul 19:44 backup-sd: Recycled volume "server-b" on device "DLTDrive"

it just terminate in 15 or 20 minutes, it seems that SD unable to write
data. I tried telnet to sd on 9103 port, it ok.
one more thing when i stop bacula server after this job failure sd
didn't stops and give error like channel borken. It seems that it is
busy with tape OR when i try to unmount tape its says sd busy.

thanks, any hint will be great help to me.

thanks & regards,
rajnish
