mtx is available from blastwave. http://www.blastwave.org/packages.php/mtx
I too am testing bacula on Solaris using the blastwave packages. I don't have an autochanger though, just a single tape dlt drive. One thing I had to do is specify the tape backup device in the bacula-sd.conf as follows: Archive Device = /dev/rmt/0mbn I would get errors if used for example: Archive Device = /dev/rmt/0m or Archive Device = /dev/rmt/0 My experience is pretty good. I've got really simple backup needs though. I use a different tape for each day of the week Mon -Thur and have multiple Friday tapes. The hardest part I have had to wrestle with, other than finding the correct Archive Device, is getting bacula to overwrite my volumes before the tape fills up. I think I have that dialed in now. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
