I have not seen this problem. For us, we have 3.6 GB of mem allocated to
Bacula (running on ESX server). During the back-up it always uses all the
memory and never swaps to disk, but after the job the memory is released.
>From what I understand of Linux this is totally acceptable behavior. Since
Bacula is moving data from remote machines to disk then to tape, it will try
to keep as much of that in memory if no other process needs it. In almost a
month of running Bacula with no reboots, there is no sign of a memory leak.
