Just copy the files to where they belong, and use the new storage device you set up. Assuming you've got the same Media Type defined for the new and the old storage, things should work seamless. If you decide to start with new volumes on the new SD, you can keep the old files on the old SD. Once the backups to the new SD arecomplete (i.e., your backup cycle did full backups again) you can consider deleting or archiving the old volumes.
