The only thing I'll say is that the PAID support we've had with proprietary software has mostly been nowhere near as good as the community and paid support for open source. There has been one exception to this: Suse - who seem to run away if hard questions get asked and made us _very_ unhappy. We ended up dumping them for Redhat(*) and all is happy again.
