Ok, I got it again this morning. 'Please mount Volume "A0000002"'

From the command prompt mtx-changer shows that the requested tape is loaded
2:B0000008
4:C0000004
5:A0000008
6:B0000010
7:B0000002
9:A0000004
10:CLNA0002
8:A0000002

At the console a status of the sd shows the expected tape is loaded but blocked:

Device "VXA-172" (Tape0) open but no Bacula volume is currently mounted.
   Device is BLOCKED waiting for mount of volume "A0000002".
   Slot 8 is loaded in drive 0.
Device parameters:
Archive name: Tape0 Device name: VXA-172
File=0 block=0
Min block=0 Max block=0

====
In Use Volume status:
A0000002 on device "VXA-172" (Tape0)

At the console an 'unmount' and 'mount' of the same tape and slot starts the jobs.
