Please give some more information. An llist or show (I forget exactly
which is for which, but take a look at the command help or the manual)
on the volumes in question might help. If you have changed your pool
definitions since the media were created, you may well have problems
like this. Also, as a general statement, keep in mind that the retention
time appears to start from when the backup job completes -- this can be
a moving target depending on the length of your backup. However, to me,
it appears that based on your pool defs, your retention time only need
be shorter than approximately 10 days to do what you want, so I'm a
little confused.
If a mount sometimes fixes the problem, though, chances are your
retention times are just slightly too long. Take a look at your media
closely with all the values from the media, not the pool, printed and
you should see something that may help.
