Hello,

I have bacula set up to work with an autochanger, backing up about 10
servers, however on a few servers it runs very slow(500KB/s with
encryption, and 1150.0 KB/s w/o encryption) compared to the others
(4412.9 KB/s with encryption) (the servers running slower backups are
actually newer and faster machines then the other servers).

There are a few differences (one is network which I am looking into,
though just a different subnet then the others). The slow ones are
running RHEL 4 U 3 (the others are RHEL3 U3) and the slow ones have very
few files but they are very large (27 files of 76.82 GB total taking 18
hours 33 mins 28 secs, while the other server is 41,655 files of 129.7
GB tatol taking only 8 hours 9 mins 53 secs).

To me, taking twice as long for half as much data doesn't seem right.
Is there anything I can be looking at to speed these backups up? Is
there anything appearently wrong with my setup up?

Also I am spooling data to disk before writting to an LTO tape drive,
the spool disk has 200 GB of space. Though the total time per backup on
the slow ones were the same spooled or not.

Thanks,

Deric
