I have Adic Scalar 24 with dual IBM Ultrium-TD3 (Firmware version 54k1)
(one drive dedicated to our Windows servers and the other dedicated to
our Unix systems running Bacula version 2.0.2) which is an LTO-3
(400/800 GB) drive. I have a 1 (59% used) and a 2 (49% used) Terabyte
file system that I back up to it. I have tested all the tapes to ensure
they are good (was able to write cleanly about 600Gb to each with no
problem outside of bacula) but when I run the backup the first tape goes
thought just fine (I list media and it shows 600GB someodd on that tape)
but subsequent tapes (it seem to swap tapes just fine) get the following
error on them, different size on all the tapes but around 12GB is where
errors out. I have also included an excerpt from my bacula-sd.conf file
just in case I screwed up something there. My OS is freebsd 6.1 stable.
I experienced these same errors with version 1.38, which is why I
upgraded. I need to know if this is a hardware issue or a bacula issue
before I call my hardware vendor frothing at the mouth. Any help would
be appreciated. Let me know if there is any other information you need.
