IBM Tivoli Storage Manager has an HSM component called TSM for Space Management. I haven't used it though I did use TSM for backups until I switched to bacula. We obtained it free of-charge under the IBM scholars program. I think this is now called the academic-initiative program. http://www-306.ibm.com/software/tivoli/products/storage-mgr-space/ TSM under Linux requires custom drivers for the tape-library and these are distributed as binary kernel-modules for RHEL and SUSE . They work fine under CentOS but the drivers are not always available for the errata-update kernels. You also need to ensure that your tape-library is supported, though it's highly likely that it is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
