I would advise upgrading to at least 1.38.11 before that.

Unfortunately, the debian packages never included the rescue CDROM
feature -- since that would have rarely been useful considering that
many users would want to customize their CDs


If you must keep using Sarge for a while, and provided other users
request it too, I can provide backported versions of bacula_2.0.2
(available from my company's APT repo)
