Yeah, agreed - this needs developer attention.

Run the FD and/or both the Director and SD with trace on    ie.   - 
d100  to get the output of what is happening.

Then, supply the version info, what it's installed on and the  
pertinent trace files in-line on your email and submit to the  
developers list for review.
