Each configuration file for all the components you mention are documented in detail in the manual in the configuration chapter for each of the respective components. Please refer to the online manual at www.bacula.org. Most of the important interactions between the conf files is also shown a schematic that is located in at least two places in the manual. Finally, there are a good number of directives especially in the Director that once set have some effect on the FD (e.g. Filesets) or on the Storage daemon. These behaviors are discussed in detail in the text associated with each directive in the manual. There is nothing hidden, it is all documented in the manual. However, you have to have a good understanding of Bacula to know how the directives work. If you have doubts about various directives, either try them out on Bacula and observe the behavior or ask *specific* questions on the bacula-users list, where I am sure they will be able to help you. > > We are reffering to the structure gven in the manual. > > any kind of help is welcome > > Regards > Priyanka > > On 2/6/07, Kern Sibbald <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > On Tuesday 06 February 2007 06:48, priyanka singh wrote: > > > We are designing interface for Bacula , so that one can edit > > > > configuration > > > > > file and can generate configuration file , we are close 2 end of > > > > this.... > > > > Could you specify what company you represent, what language this program > > is > > written in, and what license it has? > > > > > Actually we require a detail structure of interaction b/w conf. files: > > > 1) bacula-dir.conf > > > 2)bacula-sd.conf > > > 3)bacula-fd.conf > > > 4)bconsole.conf > > > 5)tray-monitor.conf > > > > Most of the information that corresponds between these files is clearly > > indicated in a "picture" that occurs in several places in the manual. > > > > > because some of the attributes values are not specified in the original > > > structure given in the manual....... > > > > What is the "original structure" that you are referring to? > > > > > any kind of help or suggestion is welcome > > > regards ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
